Actually she's hit puberty full on.

Is there a support group for parents of tweenage/teenage girls?

If you start one I will join, I have the teenager from hell, she is a total nightmare, I am really hoping we have gone through so much there is nothing else to put me through, pretty sure she will find something though

well, I had one girl and two boys go through it! neither of them were as bad as ME, so I counted my blessings!

Oh, I so agree with this.

No.1 twin and I were sitting chatting last night, he's going to Reading in the summer, I was telling him all the things he shouldn't do, to which he replied' Mum, you know an awful lot about stuff, you didn't do any of it did you?' Noooo of course not I (rep)lied :o

  • Having a chat with my mum about it the other day and sadly her remedy was a swift clout around the ear and reminding me that there were kids starving in africa, worked though, didnt dare stomp again after having to eat a dinner I didnt like.

Dont get me wrong, I drank and smoked and did all the stupid stuff teenagers do but not so early! I think I was about 15 when I started puberty and attempted to give my mum a bit of lip a couple of times much to her amusement but god I regretted it when she handed my !!!!! back to me, in front of my friends too!

  • I remember this well, I grew out of it at around 23. Make no attempt to ask her how she is, NEVER ask how school is and do not think about asking about boys - she WILL bite your head off. Expect only monosyllabic answers, huffs and evil looks, anything else is a bonus. I'm only joking of course. My mum is still afraid to hug me as I used to say "GET OFF YOU PERVERT, EWWWWWW!" whenever she came near me for about 7 years. I remember genuinely thinking she was a closet lesbian. I don't know what the heck was wrong with me, and I do regret some of my behaviour now. I completely closed off from my parents and I wish I hadn't. Honestly, I just remember being so exhausted the last thing I wanted to do was talk to my parents when I got in from school.
  • My 15yr old DD has a room that looks like a bombsite, a massive FB habit and can't do anything without also simultaneously texting and being on the internet, She chokes us with her perfume, wears enough slap to sink a battleship and uses my stuff (perfume, tights, make up etc). She spends all her money on rubbish and, when she's not festering in her room, she's taking up too much space in the living room complaining because she can't watch CSI ('but it's for my media homework Mum!'). She doesn't see the point in doing anything, there's always a reason why not, except hanging around with her friends, talking on FB and criticising what me and her step dad do.

Having said that, she is relatively polite and only rage infected one week per month. And, bless her, she even cleaned out the the toilet bin when it was full with her used sanitary towels the other day so I try and overlook the rest of it. I drink quite a lot one week out of four. I find it helps!
