Eeek,
have just been asked by my boyf to get his mum and dad and his gran and grandad (his mum's parents) a christmas gift each got.
Anybody got any ideas of anything I can get each of them? Preferably something not too expensive as Im paying for it myself and also something that I can get in the shops( as opposed to online), either tom night or Friday.
Don't really know that all that well so any ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you all muchly!

this is probably a really silly question, but if you weren't intending buying all those folk a present already, why are you considering it now?
I would have thought the easiest thing, as he knows them best, would be for your boyfriend to go shopping with you (you tell him how much you want to spend) and pick stuff together.0 -
Well we had every intention of getting them all a gift but we don't get paid till tom so havent been able to buy them anything till tom also he has kids and I was gonna go halfers on their presents but he's asked me to get his rents and grandparents presents and paying for them myself instead of going halfers on the presents for the kids (he hasn't got a scooby what to get them himself so its pointless going shopping together)0

Honestly, I'd tell him to sod off and do it himself. They're his family for heavens sake, what would he do if he was single?
It does bug me when couples get together and the female half is suddenly expected to take responsibility for remembering and buying card and prezzies for christmas, birthdays etc.
Ok, rant over. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
lol but its prob easier and saves a hell of more hassle and arguments if I just get their gifts - I can see where your coming from but can't be bovvered with telling him to bog off. Just want to get them something and don't begrudge doing it.
Does anyone have any ideas?0 -
Have you even actually MET these people? How on earth are you supposed to guess what they'd like?
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

how much do you want to spend, and what kind of thing are you thinking of (I'm trying to be helpful, but I too would be telling my bf to bog off and do it himself in your circs
).
Even if you play it safe and boring, theres no telling, as you don't know any of these people, if your pressies will be appreciated.0 -

lol yeah I've met them before.
Does anybody have ANY ideas at all? I was thinking of wallets for the men and an ornament for the ladies0 -
If it were me I'd be going down the booze and chocolate route. Or getting something from somewhere safe like m and s or john lewis which they can easily exchange when they hate it.
Ornaments are quite a personal thing and I wouldn't like someone I didn't know that well trying to guess what I liked. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Preferably as little as possible but not so that it looks cheap.
Think I'll just get them the wallets and ornaments *sighs* not the most original but not much else I can think of or do.
Thanks for everyone's replies.0
