Thanks susieq10 ...I've never tried G*mt**e, so wanted some genuine feedback, form people who'd used it
. I'll have to give it some proper thought now, as I think e**y will be dead for the next month .
Right, we've been making use of what we've got food wise...I think I might turn into a mince pie soon, with little legs and hands :rotfl:. It's a good job we've finished them now
. We had also reused the extra mash from the other day, by making a bubble and squeak; nom, nom, nom
.
Bought my razor supply for the year 1 (10 razors) pack for 25p each x 6= 150p; that's less than what it costs, for a single branded razor in some cases. Already got a soap dish, so we'll see how long that'll last too
. I'm going to use the smellies up I got for Christmas too
.
Still keeping up with The Sealed Pot Challenge and The Every Penny's A Prisoner too :T.

Hello :j...
A quick update for you all...The razors aren't that bad, they just need a bit more of a gentle handed approach; or it's toilet paper city time on your face :rotfl:...Sorry - I'm joking, they're actually pretty good, no M**h 3, or super slippy, talk next to you while you shave advert, style fantastic razor - but they do they job :T.
We were bought a lovely shiny new Blu Ray DVD player thing for Christmas :T, overjoyed I tried to see where the scart lead fitted, it fitted nowhere ...You need swanky HDMI cables now, I stumbled through A**a looking for one (while feeling palpitations - as I knew I would have to part with cash). £10 for one, or £6 for their budget one , I nearly choked..:rotfl:...
After a bit of thought I left it there, to W***os I went, practically the same there , P***dl**d none there, another pound style shop, BINGO :j. Saved myself between £5-£9, cue the music ***oh, happy days, oh happy days *** :rotfl:
:rotfl:
:rotfl:. Brilliant

Still clearing things from the house, I have a few items that need listing this weekend, so fingers crossed
.
Found an old account, so have an extra £45 to decide what to do with
. Oh, happy days ...I was chuffed with that, and thought of what I could do with it
, but I think the bank worker thought I was taking the Mickey .

Also now 'working' my way through the MIL's Christmas cake
, surprisingly I've only put on 3lbs :rotfl:, to be fair the amount of leftovers we've been eating, I was expecting a lot more ; so it's happy days, less to lose this year I suppose

Hello everyone, hope you’ve been having a good week so far...Right what have we been doing???
Toilet rolls, I know some of you will laugh, it’s a choice between, paper thin and ‘break’ at any moment - or overpriced, make your b*m feel luscious nonsense
. Well we’ve tried all and in between last year, and I’m settling on the middle of the range (usually has a nice weight). The basic style stuff was cheaper- but I think was working out as false economy, we seemed to be using 1 ½ to 2 times more of this stuff than the other. Anyone else have any opinions or advice on this? As in favourite brands, shopwise...
I have on old tall Pine TV Cabinet; I’m going to ‘tweak’ it, so it holds the spider better (in his enclosure – before anyone has palpitations), his pets (the crickets) and his box. It was given to us, as it was going to the skip and is a better option than some overpriced, ‘real, I am set up’...I’ll keep you updated on how it goes...
The car boot stuff is nearly ready, even found a few e**y worthy things in the clear out!
Have good week MSE’ing😇 Sealed Pot Challenge: Member No: 20: 2012 = £92.14; 2013 = £45.27; 2014 = £54.70; 2015 = ; 2016 = £70.38 2022 = £10.58 2023 = ???? 🍀 2023 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN Mrs SD 65/365 so far. 👾 The Other Way, or the MSE Way: My Personal Challenge 🍀 The Other Way, or the MSE Way: My Personal Challenge 20120 -
Hello
!
Well I've decluttered a bit more of the house yesterday, the kids room is done, a few ebay worthy items, and some car boot fodder
. Just need to the bathroom and some of the sitting room now (I've been tackling that room bit by bit, mainly when two mischevious one s are staring at Lilio and Stitch on DVD :rotfl:
:rotfl:. Only the loft, our room, and the bathroom to do now...it's the loft I'm dreading ...
The computer died the other week, I saved for ages for it I know it was only £50, but it was a laptop and meant me and the DW could sit together and do our bits. The laptop developed an intermittent motherboard fault and it's going to be better to sell the spares, than repair.
On a brighter note, I managed to get an old desktop PC for £3...I had a look inside, it had: the memory, hard drive, CPU etc. It had one the port pins bashed in, and the old style mouse sockets bashed in sold as spares (I wasn't as worried by this, as the spare stuff I had lying around is USB based
). It was an ugly looking creation, a nice cream style colour to boot. If fit worked bonus, if not, I could just sell the bits on ebay, or car boot.
Luckily for me..I maged to get it working with a little tweaking, it's now running Ubuntu (it's on OS but free, unlike Windows 7) :j
:j. Has a 2.4ghz CPU too, which isn't bad, only has 512mb of ram though, but it does what I need it to do for now so it's happy days
. You can't complain at £3 can you
?
Birthday presents, got the biggest hers from the sales, a load of H***o Ki**y stuff, normally we don't bother as it's overpriced...But it had 50% off each item, so guess what shes got for her birthday? Hope she doesn't go off the stuff before then :rotfl:
:rotfl:.

Hello everyone:D!
Been shopping today - got in there nice and early to grab myself some 'yellow stickered' meat
. We've saved roughly £10 in doing so...it's now sitting in the freezer in portions. Easily enough for three weeks :j...
