The price is immaterial- if you didn't want to sell it for £6 then you should have listed it for more and taken a chance of it selling. Regardless of whether the item went for £6 or £60 buyers have the same rights, also if it went for £6 then that was all it was worth.

    How did buyer pay?

No I was willing to sell it for £6 posted that was my asking price, I never said it was new I said hardly used !! which doesnt mean brand new. What I am saying is if i was to offer a partial refund then i might well have given it away. It was well worth around £10 as was £25 new. So in effect she got a bargain. She is moaning as she said she is giving it as a gift and isnt new and shows some sign of wear cause of the colour. But the colour is the design as said it is not a glossy black but matt black

A paypal gift means it cannot be charged back but you may find yourself extremely unpopular on that site if you don't offer a full refund on safe return. She can't force it- but you may find it all gets rather nasty if you don't.

  • well buyer has returned the purse to me for a refund so does that mean i have to cover her postage costs of returning it ? Cause if so I am now gonna be out of pocket of £5, and have still not sold the purse. I have inspected the purse today and cannot believe buyer is so petty ! She got a bl00dy bargain a river island purse £25 retail for £6 so I am going to try my luck on another site. Thanks for advice. i spose you cannot please every buyer just will make sure I avoid her again at all costs.

so who is paying the return postage? you or the buyer? I would think that it should be the buyer as she just doesnt like the item

Did you make it very clear that your item was not brand new?
If you did make it clear then don't refund the postage. If you were not completely clear in you ad then pay her postage. Whatever you do - refund ! A loss of money does happen occasionally with email. Just acccept it and move on.
  • i said the item was "hardly used "
