Hi All,
I've got a Toshiba 46" LCD tv that has just gone on the blink. Repair-man tells me it's the screen and therefore it isn't worth the repair.
My question is, and using the FART acronim, is two years and 9 months past a 'reasonable amount of time'? This was a £700 (down from £1200) purchase for us at that time. It came from Tesco's but we didn't take form of extended warranty.
My own feeling is that we're too far gone, but any opinions would be great.
Thanks Adam.

I wouldn't say so, your difficulty comes in proving the fault is inherent.
If you can get an engineer to document that it is then you should expect a proportionate (but not linear) refund. Given a life of (say) 5 years I would expect a refund in the region of ~£200-£250.Thinking critically since 1996....0
