Fast Scanning

Hi

Im after some recommendations, we're a very small business but deal with a large volume of paperwork and I need to scan the documents that come through the post.

Using a flatbed scanner is taking forever but the cost of the high speed scanners are huge so its not something i can just try pot luck and with it being business use that would mainly use them theres not many reviews around.

Does anyone use one and recommend any?

Thanks,

Google for the Fujitsu Scansnap - I have a small office and we've got two of these - they're quick and the packaged software that comes with them is good. Double sided scanning is an added bonus. I first got one from recommendations on another forum and was so pleased, we bought another. A real bargain at around £300 or so.
  • I'd say the same a Fujitsu. We had them in the office I worked in before I left for my own business. We had masses of post that needed to be scanned every day and it was brilliant. Really quick.

Try one with a sheet feeder, if all your scanning is A4-sized. Pile of paper in the top, press go, pile of paper in the bottom with the files sent to your PC or memory card. Samsung clx-3160FN or similar mid-range machines will do this
  • Have you tried a monthly leasing scheme? Might work out cheaper then buying outright plus any problems or repairs wouldnt cost you anything extra.
