Can I get free bus travel in London for my 12yr old?

I have to travel to London tomorrow with my 2 children for a hospital appointment. I have just looked on TFL website, and it looks as if I won't be able to get my 12yr old free on the buses.
11-15yr olds need some type of junior oystercard to get free travel and it takes up to 2 weeks to get one.
That would be fine for the future, but am I going to end up having to pay full adult fare for her tomorrow?
Is there anything I can do?
We will be travelling down by train and then getting at least 4 buses throughout the day.
Luckily enough, I will get my travel costs reimbursed by the hospital, btu, as it is my wee one that the appt is for, I can't claim travel expenses for the eldest.

Buy a Family or Child Travelcard suitable for the zones you will be travelling in.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Thanks Macman.
I have just been trawling round and see that I can get a child's travelcard for £3 so that's not too bad.
I don't suppose I can use money from my Oystercard to pay for that? I know there's a few quid on it from the last time I was in London.

For anyone else who may stumble across this thread and may find this useful.
In the end, I asked for family train tickets.
I got mine for £19 for off-peak train to and from London, with travelcard, and the same for my daughter at just £2!!!! Mind you, I wasn't offered this at the ticket office in the station, only when I specifically asked for it, did the guy sell it to me.
