I recieved an email this morning telling me that my order of a Hamper would not be fulfilled, one day before expectant delivery. Im absolutely livid as I have to now face the town a few days before christmas to find a present for an already difficult to buy for elderly relative.
Why should it take so long to figure this out when it was ordered the beginning of last week. Surely the computer systems stock take automatically. I emailed Marc Bolland who is the Chief Executive of Marks and Spencer to complain bearing in mind this is the second time they have let me down on my christmas orders. Unfortunately he doesnt seem to care about customer service either!

Go to Dunelm, buy a wicker basket, nip to supermarket and buy your own choice of items and some coloured tissue paper. Go home place items in wicker basket along with coloured paper arranged between items to look nice - hey presto! I received the same email and then 2 hours later another email telling me my order was on its way and then yet another email later on telling me to ignore the first email as it was sent in error.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

Welcome to Marks and Spencer online ordering
Over many years I have learnt that anything which is reduced has the potential to not be delivered. Sales. Deals of the Day. Offers of the Week.
Was it one of the 50% off hampers? Did you order on a day when people were going mad with the code meant for flowers but which was also taking another 15% off the full price of hampers?
A recipe for disaster - lots of people ordering but only a finite amount of stock so some are not sent. No point thinking that Marks and Spencer are going to be proactive and monitor your order before it gets to the warehouse stage. They have neither the time or inclination.
Once it has happened half a dozen times you will get use to it.:o0
