BT Special Low Price Anytime Plan

I recently signed up to BT's special deal (£3 per month) on the Unlimited Anytime Plan. This shows up on my account as the 'Special Low Price Anytime Plan'. Now I assumed that this was an offer for 12 months only, designed to entice customers into taking up the Anytime plan. When I phoned them to sign up I explicity asked if the low price lasted for 12 months only, and was told that it did.

This morning I've received a letter from them which states "After 12 months, your plan stays at £3 a month". Now that would be good, but is it really the case?

    Re-arrange into a well-known phrase or saying:

The, Horse, Gift, Look, A, Mouth, Don't, In.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Yes, I know - it just seems really odd!

Yes, when did you last hear of BT giving anything away?

On the fact of it, it's £1.70/month off the standard price (½ pint of beer and a packet of crisps or thereabouts).
