Parcel Force....

Wondering if anyone has experienced the same and hopefully this may help someone...
I was expecting a parcel sent last week and last night emailed the seller for tracking info, she came back with the number and said it says delivered at 16.05 on monday, being that i was in all day monday (pj day with the kids:o) and i had no card through the door i began to panic, she asked me to check with the neighbours... no parcels there
then we looked at the tracking info again and it said
delivered to xxx postoffice, customer advised to pick up from there
erm no i wasnt, i went today and spoke to the counter lady, it turned out that on monday, a delivery driver had taken 40+ parcels and dumped them at the post office saying no one was in to collect them.
4 people had been to collect theirs because they had tracked them online but none had cards.
Parcel force also kept cutting the counter lady off everytime she rang to find out what had happened.
So in essence, lots of parcels are sat there with people not knowing they are there:mad: so close to crimbo too!

Just another reason I avoid parcelfarce, there was a person on here a while back where the driver had dumped a whole load (about 60 I think) at a local PO then posted delivery cards to people!!! I don't think they should be allowed to leave parcels at the PO without some sort of proof nobody was in!!!0

How would you prove that?0

I don't know, a flip camera recording the house number and you ringing the bell? Or a GPS log on their PDAs to show that they stopped for at least 30 secs outside the property?0

Always had great service from Parcelforce personally no complaints from my customers either. As for Parcellfarce can't comment as never used them.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Sounds like the Parcelforce driver is cutting corners, they normally carry three (3) cards - 1 card for genuine Parcelforce attempted deliveries telling the receiver the goods are in the local depot - 2 card for a failed collection attempt - 3rd card for rural locations, where it tells the receiver the goods are held in your .....local Post Office counter - the last is perfect for rural / out of the way locations however; this is becoming used more and more often in urban areas
The local Post Office Counter benefits from you buying an item at the same time + they do get paid for each held parcel
By the way the POC only holds the goods for a limited time, not sure what this is but, say 10 days so, the receiver must collect before the time frame - however; the given card should tell you this
If the driver fails to leave a card - report him as he will be re-educated by the Manager! - understatement, If I was still in the business I would hurt the individual in his pocket and give him the worse job in the depot, once he has done this job, he soon learns!!0 -
If you don't have a card to present to the Post Office counter how can you collect a parcel?, they always ask for the card at our PO and sometimes ID..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

i had the tracking info and id so they let me collect mine but as i said the counter lady said there were several other people who'd been in and had the same issue with the same packages that were delivered on monday.
PO lady wasnt really too happy as its a tiny post office so not really much room lol
but yeah no cards and i was in all day and am now pretty sensitive to hearing the door after some tool tried to rob me last week:TJanuary Wins: Something from CCL :T
