New curtains needed - odd sizes

Hi all.
I need some new curtains but the sizing is a bit odd. They’re for patio doors and are 200cm x 200cm each. The width isn’t a problem, but the drop is. It seems to be 182cm or 220cm in the vast majority of stores.
Due to the brackets on the current curtain pole, and the ceiling not being particularly high, I can’t move it up high enough to accommodate 220cm curtains, and can’t move it down to cater for 182cm. So that would mean buying a new pole as well as curtains.
The other option is to go for custom made curtains, but just having a quick look on Paul Simon is bring back results of £300+ just for bog standard pencil pleat curtains of this size!!
Anyone had any luck on getting custom curtains cheap or a place that sells odd sizes?
Thanks

Can you sew (or know someone who can?) Shortening curtains is fairly simple - just unpick the heading tape and turn over the top to the correct length. Then resew the heading tape in place. If they have a special heading such as eyelet you can shorten from the bottom.0

We just bought new curtains from Ponden Mill (not a recommendation just a fact!) and although quite expensive they have in-house facilities to (in our case) turn up the curtains. Great thing is that if they make a !!!! up with the adjustments (they didn't) then they are responsible for the whole job. Altered ready mades worked out a lot cheaper than made to measure.0

Buy 220cm curtains, take to your local drycleaners who also do alterations, and have 20cm removed from the bottom.
I'm sure Paul Simon or similar homewear shops on the same grotty industrial estates (usually) do have some curtains they offer with 'free' alterations.Usually means you pay more for the curtains in the first place.
If all else fails, leave overlong curtains to puddle.0 -
a sewing shop will alter the larger curtains for not much money.
you can even diy them with iron on hemming tape.
when i was single, i used to do my own trousers with that tape.Get some gorm.0 -

We used John Lewis' 7-day made to measure service recently for curtains around those measurements, and it was about £210. Obviously this cost can vary depending on the fabric chosen etc. Anyhow, they were very good and the curtains are excellent quality. You can order online if needs be.0
