Just moved into a house for the first time
Options
Have previously lived in flats with electric heating, moved into a 3 bed Semi on Friday that is currently using pay as you go key/cards for gas & electric with Powergen. I would just like to go to a billed or DD service was looking at Scottish Power & they ask for your average bills but obvioulsy I haven't got a clue what they should be. Any idea what I should expect to pay for gas & electric, its a 3 bed house in North London (n14).
Thanks
edit - just thought I should add Me & Wife both work full time Mon - Fri till June then wifey will be at home on maternity leave. The house has 9 radiators.

Anyone with prepayment meters would be best looking at Ebico first.

Use the Energyhelpline link above to get your comparisions. This will also help the site and you could earn £30 if you go through them.
I have no idea about the prepayment meter and whether you can get it changed?Expect to pay around £800 I guess but of course efficiency of boiler and usage will play a factor on the charge.Maybe a good time to regulate your time switch for the central heating and get a service plan insurance for the boiler.
Good luck in your new home and make sure you check if it has a water meter
for the reading.Inform your suppliers you have just moved in and exchange readings if you can.0
