My oil boiler is heating the water but not the radiators. Can anyone help?

  • If you cannot find the diverter valve, then you may have a system that has a gravity feed for the hot water and pumped for the rads. check that the pump is actually rotating - it may be stuck.

    info,

The Boulter Classic 70/90 is a 'D' rated boiler with an efficiency of 81.4%.

    Room sealed, fan assisted.

The Classic 70/90 is a Non-Condensing Conventional boiler with a maximum power output of 26.4kw that uses Oil as its fuel source.
Being a 'D' rated boiler it would be worthwhile replacing it with a higher efficiency 'A' rated boiler.
    Production from 1999-2001.
    Get some gorm.

Thanks, but I have just manged to get it going. I took the cover off and it was full of soot so I gave it a gentle clean and then found the lens was completely covered in black soot. Wiped it of, switched it back on again and hey presto it worked.

We are planning on changing to a thermal store as we have a wood burner with a back boiler and 26 tons of fire wood and an unlimited source after that for a few years. We will keep the oil for back up. ATM the wood burner's hot water is being wasted.

BUT (big but), when we can afford towe will upgrade it to a much more efficient type. Lets hope the government do something to help people upgrade as they did a couple of years ago.....
