Hi I recieved a parking ticket from MET Parking. Iignored it and then got a reminder which i also ignored. I have recieved a letter from a debt recovery company called Debt Recovery Plus Ltd. I dont feel I can ignore this matter any longer. I'm thinking of writing to them and affering to pay in 3 monthly installments £50.00 because i cant afford to pay all that money at once. Any advice or suggestions out please?

Please don't! Have a look here the letter you have received is just part of the chain! https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2214803
DRP are just a debt collector with absolutely no powers, all they can do is ask you to pay. Carry on ignoring them, MET do not do court!0 -
As link above states this is a private company's invoice which is payable by the driver of the vehicle. The vehicles registered owner is not liable unless they are also the driver which the parking company has to prove.
If you parked in a free car park and overstayed, the parking company has to prove, if taken to court, what loss they suffered which they would be unable to do. These companies make their money from the fear factor where they try to frighten you into paying "DONT PAY" and under no circumstances make contact. Threatening letters/invoices usually stop after the third try (personal experience)0 -

Please 'man (or woman!) up', clingfilm!
You are just in the middle of some computerised letters, don't you DARE offer to send these scammers any money, you would just be perpetuating their scam on the next vulnerable victim - which would be ridiculous now that you are on here and know it's all a con. Do you also reply to phishing emailers if they persist with contacting you, even though you know they are a con as well?! For goodness sake don't be a victim.
Debt Recovery Plus have no powers and the letter chain is shown in the link above. You could have found 'your' letters in advance and should just be playing PPC-scam-snap with them by now! It's easy, I have done it and so have most regulars on here, with more than one PPC. It will not affect your credit rating and they can't send the boys round - so I don't know why some rubbish template letters are getting to you when you have been on here and know the score?

Debt collector? - Did you take out a credit agreement with the parking company? - Thought not.
It's not a debt and as such the debt collectors cannot collect but they will try to scare you and from your opening post here they've done exactly that.
Ignore them. They have no legal powers to enforce this as there is no debt.0 -
Thank you guys, you've given me "con"fidence to ignore these people. Yes i will definitely spend the money insted on my loved ones0

Lol. I've still not even got a PPC PCN and I've been giving them plenty of opportunity recently
I'll get caught out one day and end up with some junk mail for it however until that day comes I can honestly say I've a 100% dodge rate  :rotfl:
Thats the thing with the parking industry.. they treat their staff like **** yet forget to realise that all the training and inside info they've given you can be used against them

Op, I'm glad that you have seen sense about the PCN. No point in coming on here and then ignoring the advice given. I'm still waiting to get my first PCN invoice, but many others are speaking from personal experience.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
