Replacement UPVC door/window locks?

Hi,
Is it possible to replace upvc door & window locks. Just bought a new house and there are no keys for window locks. If you can replace them can they be bought in B&Q etc or do I need to get in the professionals!?

You can probably just change the handles of the windows. Unscrew one and take it to an architectural ironmonger. Door locks are not nearly so easy to change. Measure everything you can, including how far backset the keyhole is, the distance between the spindle and the key hole, the size of the backplate and the location of any hooks or rollers on the faceplate, and take these with a couple of snaps to an architectural ironmonger or locksmith. I would serously think twice about messing with a working UPVC door.

Is there any way you can contact your solicitors and get them to contact the sellers solicitors to see if the sellers can tell you which firm installed the windows?

Then maybe you can get replacement keys?

Just a thought, and maybe for the cost of a quick phone call it'll save having to change the actual locks.

https://www.screwfix.com do them, they are called pvcu window handles in white, gold or satin chrome, cost from £4.99 to £7.99 each. I hope the originals wer unlocked though otherwise you are looking at gettting them drilled out. Normally with these locks all the keys are the same so if you've got one key it would be cheaper to get some copies made.
