Which Year was YOUR Best Xmas?

For me, it's just got to be 2011 ... yes, this year!

Only downside I can see is that I didn't realise my dream of my place by the Sea for the weekend ..... I did subscribe to the idea that prices would fall along the South Coast. Sadly, that didn't happen and now everything I had an eye on has sold, some after 18 months .... just snapped up in the last 2 months - shocking!

Anyway, good side is that my BTL Properties are worth what they were worth in 2007 ..... although that doesn't reall matter to me as I bought decades ago in any case. No debt, no mortgage - just an everlasting income.

Throughout the doom and gloom makers have tried to pull everyone down - I have ridden through - no worries at all.

We have had 5 days to save the world, 10 days, 3 months, 2 weeks ...... it's all cobblers, nothing has happened.

Too many people in positions of power have too much to lose to let it all fail ..... even if the rich have to let the poor have a bit more, it will all come out in the wash and be absolutely fine!!

So, yes, 2011 does it for me .... brightest future and the healthiest Bank Balance I have known.

Roll on 2012 - it looks like it could get even better!!

I think best Xmas's are probably more to do with who you are with, than where you are. So I would say 2005, the first Xmas my gf (now wife) had moved in.

Every single one that I spend with my family. So I haven't really got a best one.

And if I did, it certainly wouldn't be based on house prices!!

My worst was in 2007, this is set to be my second worst - or more accurately a non-event.

That's because you don't have any properties ...... just as I don't care whether I live rent free or not - but YOU would judge a rent free Xmas as a rather better one than one where you were, once more, paying another month off your Landlords home!

    Don't I?

    Darn it.
