Parcelforce can't remember who they delivered my parcel to. Help!

I sold a camera on ebay and sent it via Parcelforce. It was signed for, not by the addressee, and she did not get a card through to say where it was left. After multiple calls to parcelforce we're here: the driver can't remember which neighbour he left the parcel with and didn't log the address of this neighbour. Obviously me and the intended recipient are very anxious about what has happened. Parcelforce keep fobbing me off with 'we'll ask the driver again and call you back' but they never do!
I'm at my wit's end!
I'm especially worried as their T&C's state that (to sum up) if there's no one in they can leave it with a neighbour and that counts as delivery to the addressee which is ludicrous! Although it does say that a contact card will be put through the intended's door to enable them to collect from a neighbour, and that didn't happen. So hopefully I have a case for compensation. Which might take up to 8 weeks. In the meantime I am worried sick and the buyer has no camera and is £200 out of pocket
Any suggestions to speed things up?
All help appreciated!

I think it's unlikely your going to be able to speed things up. Parcelforce are unlikely to care to much, just tell you to put in a claim.
So you will refund the buyer, cancel the transaction via ebay to reclaim the FVFs, and await the process of your claim0
