Who was at fault? If the child was at fault, you can pursue him/his parents. If they have home insurance, that might cover them, but if they have nothing, you'd be throwing your good money after bad, trying to recover anything from them. You're unlikely to recover anything in such circumstances, I'm afraid.

slow down and you will be able to stop, but like the above im afraid
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

IF you knew the circumstance you would not make a STUPID COMMENT like this

As the errant child ran into the side of the OP’s car presumably if the OP had been going slower the child could have ended up under the front.

The correct answer is for the OP to speed up, that way (s)he would have been long gone before the child arrived

He didn't need to stop, the kid was able to hit a moving car.
He needs to go faster, and make it more difficult.
  • Do you have Legal Expenses/ Protection on your car insurance? If you do they should be advising you on pursuing the other party for recovery of the excess if your insurers feel there is a reasonable chance of success. The likelihood is that it will be decided not to pursue a minor thats had a collision with a moving vehicle on a public road
