Does anyone know of any insurance companies that accept a no claims discount generated on a 2 wheel vehicle (Scooter/Motorbike) and allow it to be transferred to a car?

I don't think it's transfereable.
Try
https://www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk
They do a "pay as you go" policy where you can accumulate 1 years no claims in 8 months.
It worked out best for me to go annually but for some people the "pay as you go" is more suitable.
No connection, except satisfied customer.
Lots of my mates use them and 1 has had a claim with them.
They also include breakdown cover and legal cover (at no additional cost).
The legal cover applies to all vehicles so I cancelled the one on my car insurance (and saved about £15).
Obviously you should do your own research in case any of that has changed since I took my policy.0 -
I will take a look thanks.
Im just gutted that I built up no claims discount for good driving and now I have to start all over again on a car. Ive been a named driver for the last 18 months but now need my own policy for another car.0 -
Another one you could try is Carole Nash (don't have a link but try google).
They are a specialist broker for bike insurance and they do things like policies to cover both bikes and cars.
If anyone can do what you want then it will probably be them.0 -
BTW - I never had any bike no claims and my first years insurance was pretty cheap (about £110).
That was because I'm female, not a youngster and don't have an expensive bike.
So you might be suprised and your no claims may have less effect than you think.
Being a bit older seems to help A LOT.
BTW - I'm only 38, so not exactly clinging onto life by my fingertips but presumably (statistically) a lot less likely to have an accident than someone who's 18.0 -
e-carinsurance wrote:The No Claim Discount you input must not be more than 2 years old and transferable from your existing or past policy. eCar will accept No Claim Discount proof if earnt on a private car, commercial vehicle or motorcycle. NCD proof earnt in another EU country is acceptable.
Ive just tried a quote with e-carinsurance and it says this, i assume its transferable then!!??0 -
It sounds like in this case it is transfereable.
However obviously you still need to check that they are cheapest.
Just because they said they would include it does not mean that they will be the cheapest.
Also be aware that companies like quidco give you cashback.
Also post office are doing £50 cashback at the moment.0 -
yeah, i know about the quidco link and the post office deal however, im thinking that if its transferable and i opt for their 8 month PAYG bonus policy then I could have 4 years NCB built up by October and would be able to get a much more competitive quote elsewhere then. So i would pay a little extra now to have 4 years NCB on a car later in the year.0

Ive also tried lancaster insurance and they are willing to accept it aswell!!
They seem quite good and are mini specialists which is precisely what im looking for!!0 -
Thanks so much for mentioning ebikeinsurance.co.uk. I got a quote for my other half and saved him £80 on his annual bike insurance! They were very efficient and even phoned me after I had a quote done on the website - with a new, cheaper quote!.......................................................thanks:rotfl:

Really? I phoned Ebike when they trebled my premium when I moved a few miles and my bike was more secure, their response was thats the quote and that is all we can offer.
I'm now insured via Bennetts who were much cheaper and insured fully comp.0
