I believe that you have a duty to minimise your losses if you are looking to claim from them.
Not convinced that you did this, so you might have problems.

You should never have booked builders without all the new suite. You should never have got builders to fit pipes before seeing exactly where everything should go. I understand your annoyed at this but the cost incurred by you are your fault not B&Q's, you can make a complaint about the late deliveries and the numerous attempts of delivery but trying to claim cost for hotel and labour when you were too eager in booking it is not there fault/problem.

If you continue to pursue however and make complaints at head office etc they could increase their offer but really don't expect to be reimbursed full costs and 'emotional' costs.

Sorry to be of no help whatsoever, but I do fail to see why retailers should be held to account for consequences of their mistakes which they cannot foresee.

If you'd booked the delivery with an explicit (written I would have thought) contract term that time was of the essence and that if the delivery was missed there would be financial consequences which you would expect them to account for, then I might have some sympathy.

But you didn't. You just booked a delivery, and then made arrangements which meant that if there was an error you would have no cheap back up plan.

Sorry, but the offer of £60 compensation seems appropriate to me based on the fact that you now have all of the goods as described (bar the toilet flush mechanism which they are effectively compensating you for), albeit later than you wanted.

I did think 'SOS' was a little OTT, does your Soul really need saving over a missing sink and a loo that wont flush? Unless it stood for Save Our Sanitaryware :D

why the hell do people rip out a bathroom prior to actually receiving the delivery. Surely the correct way would of obtaining the delivery before getting your builder to take the old one out and replace it. common sense really,.
