Ho hum,
Many months have passed. Is this situation well and truly done and dusted or are there any glimmers of light?0 -
Well no Xplosion anyway. One has to wonder why everything has gone so quiet & where everyone has disappeared to?
Anyone know (anything)!?0 -
The messages make it clear what's going to happen and why.
Seems the FCA no longer wants to battle big insurers after Adamson's demise.
Consumers are to be left unprotected.
Insurers have carte blanche.
Now the only question is who's the target of the resulting action.
Take any 1 from 2 as far as I'm concerned.0 -
Resulting action?
Is any on the cards?0 -
It would appear the last post that a significant number of people read & 'thanked' was from InvestmentBanker on 21/01/2015 after which we have heard nothing at all from any of the original forum members.
Have tried to privately message some of these original members. who had previously responded but getting no replies back now?
If anyone would like to contact me privately to impart any relevant information please do, as no one is posting here anymore it would appear?0 -
I know I'm not the only one feeling cheated.
I don't want to accept that Aviva's underhand tactics have won but what else can we do?
It's a pity that an MP wasn't amongst the policyholders affected here. That probably would have carried some weight.
I wish we could get Martin Lewis on board somehow!
I'm sure he'd find a way of raising the profile of this travesty.0 -
I've just found this thread after having been seriously unhappy with Aviva and my Medios Exec Plus health policy for the last few years. I have complained to my broker and Aviva without any joy and I'm now looking to join forces with any other policy holders in a campaign to use the media to shame Aviva into making retribution or by starting a legal fight. Obviously, the fight will have force if a number of policy holders work together, so I'm interested to know if there are others out there as angry as I am, who are willing to act together to get something done. I hope to hear from you all soon.0

A Class Action?0

Hey Jim. Yes, something along those lines. I appreciate there's a lot of catching up to do on my part, as although I've had many fruitless attempts to deal with this directly with Aviva and with my broker, I have only just found this set of postings. I have always known that the best way to move forward is getting people with the policy to work together but until now, I had no way to find out who else was covered by the product. I am very determined to get some action started about this as I feel strongly that Aviva should not be able to get away with the way they have treated me and clearly the other members of the Medios 'book'. I had occasion about 10 years ago to have a similar issue with Aviva relating to general insurance. It took me 3 years of battling with them but in the end I got everything I had originally asked for plus a large compensation payment so I'm not afraid of what it takes to go up against them and would happily do it again if I can secure the support of some of the other members of the 'book'. I know that the way they have acted is wrong and by working together I'm sure we can prove that and make them return the money that we have all been overcharged based on how the policy should have been run. If you or anyone reading is willing to work with me to begin that process let me know. I most certainly won't disappear.0

Just spoken with Paul, who really wants to get something started & has had previous dealings with Aviva over a product where there were 'irregularities', & has got them to admit to these & then been very well compensated. He is on facebook & lives in Leigh-on-Sea. Give him a ring & post your thoughts on here. I'm definitely prepared to support & go along with him, but we will need others.0
