Changing over a meter
I wonder if anyone can help?
I have just moved into a new flat and I have a key meter installed.
I phoned Scottish Power to change details from my landlords to mine.
I also ask them that as I suffer with Agoraphobia I'd prefer a normal meter as my nearest top up point was 20 mins walk away. They explained that they can change the meter but they will need a £150 deposit (refundable after 1 year) to change over the meter.
I currently don't have the money to do this. Does any one know if any energy supplier will change over the meter for free or would they all ask for a deposit?
Many thanks.

Thank you so much - I've just phoned them and they're sending me one.
I'm not sure why I wasn't told about this earlier.0 -
Hi,
good.
Yes, youd've thought they would've told you about it when you mentioned your problem.
Good luck.0 -
British Gas will change the meters for free as long as you pass a credit check.0
