Advice on underpinning, please

Are there any builders on this site, who could kindly tell me the average cost of underpinning a 2 bed mid-terrace?

I was looking into a house that required underpinning recently, when I spoke to a local engineering company that specialise in subsidence I was given the following information -

The cost of possible solutions of mass concrete underpinning or mini-piling are of course difficult to evaluate without the benefit of ground information, but for budgetary purposes a figure of around £2k - £2.5k per metre of wall can be used for the conventional solution, with mini-piles on a cantilevered needle beam costing up to twice this; £5k per metre of wall.

I'd expect the price more at about £1000 per linear metre. That's more akin to prices we've paid in the past.

You will have to pay for replastering, possibly new woodwork and of course, redecorate but anyone can pick up a paintbrush!

It's unlikely to be the entire house that needs underpinning; it might be a corner or a full wall.
