    I'd just pay it and be done with the whole sorry situation.

    The problem you have is that the 30 notice is probably written into their T&C's. It's not really their fault you entered the details incorrectly.

    For the sake of less than 4 quid, it won't be worth being hounded by Wescot forever and a day.

    I don't want to pay up just on the sheer principle of how I've had nothing from them, but I fear it will indeed be more trouble than it's worth to pursue any other avenues.

    Whatever happens, I'll be warning people off them from now on. As I mentioned earlier, it was indeed my mistake but their customer services are the worst I've encountered. It's one thing when you have communication issues with people of different backgrounds, but when they can perfectly understand you and are just plain rude and unhelpful? That's even worse in my eyes.
