A friend of mine has had some problems so i'm seeking advice please.
He had car insurance through kwikfit and when it came to renewing chose to go with a different provider so contacted KwikFit to tell them.
A while later he received a letter about non-payment.
He emailed saying it had been cancelled so no money was due.
A couple days later they phoned him and basically scared him into paying over £300 saying if he forwarded proof that other insurance had been organised it would be refunded.
This was done, proof emailed off but they wont get back in touch and cant get any answers on phone.
Where would he stand on this and that should we do now?
Many thanks in advance, mark.

Pointless doing anything over the phone they need to do it in writing to keep a papertrail.
Bit silly paying without a written letter saying it would be refunded.
Official complaint and a request for the call logs of these converations will be needed. But will probably need
to do a SAR or similar which costs money.
Did quickfit pass on the no claims discount to the new company?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
As far as I Know they passed on the no claims.
He said because the threatened with bailiffs and court action. He's never had anything like that before, so didn't realise it was all just scare tactics.0
