Morethan contents renewal

I received my renewal quote for contents insurance today, did the comparisons and morethan still came out cheapest, but £11 less than what they offered. Phoned them up and they've matched it.

Not a huge saving, but every little...:money:

Renewals are stupid. I know why insurance companies do it, but you just think why?!

Not everyone will go to the extra effort of looking around but insurance companies to a degree make you do it. One of our clients renewal came out at £56 per month (Up from £35). We did a search for them and got it down to £32 per month. You just think the £56 was never realistic in the first place so why try it on. The original company agreed to match the £32 but she left them out of principle.

As soon as an insurance company comes out offering the lowest price at outset and renewal you can see them taking the lions share of the market, even if theyre not actually the cheapest overall - id be happy to be treated fairly, and if it means paying £3-4 more per month then so be it.

Sorry thats my rant over with now.
