Hi all I applied to switch to Santander yesterday (mainly for £100 cashback and also to get hopefully 0% on my overdraft). Today I received a cheque for £50 from Santander and an apology letter. . Following my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman. Most unexpected but of course welcome and I did go through a lot of stress at the time, it was verging on harrassment from one member of staff there. Nice pleasant surprise.
