I have filled an online form for Tax Evasion Hotline from hmrc.gov.uk website more than two months ago.0 -
i wouldnt worry too muc h about them not doing anything yet. it takes a while for hmrc to get things together. i totally agree with you on this. when the economy is in such a terrible state we all have to do our bit , and you can bet they arent registered for vat either.
its so bad in scotland and in the north of the country that hmrc have just taken on more staff to investigate takeaways , including fish and chip shops, pizza and kebab shops, indian and chinese etc.
these are cash businesses, and people who think that this type of business isnt a cash cow are very naive.
also, why do people get so nasty on these threads. why wouldnt someone working in a pizza shop be an accountant, or studying to be one.
whats the point of coming on here asking for peoples advice when you just get slated????0 -
Its such a coincidence that the OP and the one person that arrives to stick up for his cannot seem to use a capital 'I'.
Maybe we have another sock puppet invasion.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0 -

When i reported them i worked it all out before i reported them.I only reported them because is not fair really. the owner have 3 houses, 2 cars and he still claim benefits from the goverment how can you explain that?
So in fact you reported him because you're jealous?
He gets them because his net income and family circumstances are such that he qualifies. I have two houses, three cars and I get tax credits because our income is low enough to qualify. I have two houses because I bought the first one really cheap in the 90's, they weren't selling when I needed to move so I rented it out. We have three cars because I have two - a runaround and a classic - and the wife has one. My daily run around is 6 years old, the classic is 30, the wife's car is 16 years old.
We also manage to go on holiday abroad once a year as well. I guess we must be on the fiddle.....or maybe its because we're careful with our money.....0 -

They don't need to be VAT registered until their VAT taxable goods and services turnover reaches the VAT threshold which is £73000. Some of what they sell might be zero rated so wouldn't contribute to that £73000.0 -

You said i am jealous. I dont really care because i can see the people here when you ask for help they start laughing at you. Is my mistake to try to make things right. just your knowledge too they have been playing with gas meters for 14 years till they got caught out when i told the gas company that. And they fined them for 6000 pound.0 -

Ah, studying to be an accountant. There's a world of difference. And even an accountant doesn't know a great deal about tax other than the basics unless they choose tax as a specialist subject. There are many accountants who make very poor tax accountants.0
