God my Vanquis has gone up to 48.5 % on a 1000 pound limit
Called my Dad and hes bailing me out, thank god for good parents like that, Im just going to pay the 50 month back interest free.
I owe him Bigtime !!!!!
They sucked me in, gave me a credit limit increase and then the month after Id spent it wacked it up by another 15%
Will be clearing and cancelling next week !! PhewDmp Mutual Support thread member No 820 -
Thats why on a sub-prime card like this, you should never put more on it than you can pay back all in one go - or failing that, a very large chunk of.0

I just had a mailshot for one of these cards. I used to have a really good credit rating, but someone stole my identity and I was refused credit when applying for a new card with someone. These cards to promote themselves as being a good way to repair a credit rating, so I guess they have their uses.
I'm going to steer clear though, even though we always pay our cards in full, those interest rates are scary.
i'd certainly recommend getting a standard credit report though, it is frightening what people can do in your name without your knowledge that get you into a position where you can only get 'sub prime' credit.0 -
When are we going to get a sticky for this card?0

Yes the rate is high BUT no one has to take out extended credit on the card.
Also compared to doorstep lenders it is probably a better deal. I am fortunate to be able to have very lower interest credit cards but it is a goodway to building ones credit rating.0 -
When someone decides to tidy the stickies that are there already I suspect - there are far too many there at the moment IMHO.jay78 wrote:When are we going to get a sticky for this card?Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Hopefully never, there are enough stickys as it is!jay78 wrote:When are we going to get a sticky for this card?
It would be a lot better if there was one thread stickied at the top that contained links to all the other stickied threads in one post. The others could then be unstuck and free up the first half of the page for 'normal' threads.0
