Killer heels and a wheelchair?

http://www.next.co.uk/women/occasion-bridal-shoes

The shoes in question are the black ones with the nude trim on the right.
Got them to go with a dress for Christmas day but a poll of the nurses says heels are a bad idea when you're on wheels. Surely they're better on wheels because I don't need to attempt to walk in them?

Any thoughts?

    Nice shoes :)

I've attempted to wear heels in a wheelchair. As long as you keep your feet on the footrest, you'll be fine. You might want a pillow to sit on if they make you much higher, or its possible your legs will in an odd position and your knees a bit high - it's not painful, but can be uncomfortable after a few hours.

I managed to wave my feet around and snap my heel in the wheels, but if you aren't a fidget you should be fine :)

At the moment I can't feel my legs so waving them about won't happen lol!

if you wear heels in a chair then this will give pressure sores on your backside because the angle of your legs will be wrong and all the pressure will be on your bum, you need to have even pressure along your thighs, sitting higher on a pillow will raise your centre of gravity so you will be more tippy (depending on chair type) ..............id like to add i dont wear heels :D but wearing my AFOs do the same

Pwales, I'll only be out the hospital for a couple of hours, and I've got a gel cushion.

Sit on a cushion, have a pair of flats in your bag to change into if you feel the need and have a good time :)

    Very Sexy Shoe Jen....

I've never worn heels when in my chair so can't advise, but I'm a bloke....lol

it's seems like you're a bit of a glam girl, so have you thought about bringing up your chair, you can get front wheels with lights in them that flash when moving (like trainers with flashing LED's in the soles that flash when running), different coloured tyres or different dust caps for on your wheels.

I've seen people with some or all of these, make the look of your chair reflect your style.

I'm not a wheelchair user but I do use sticks. I bought a bronze metallic stick (to match my hair) and glued on diamantes, everyone used to comment on it and I got some right funny looks too lol. I figured I'm only early 30's so why not glam it up a bit! Unfortunately a lot of the diamantes fell off over time so I need to redo it!
