Does anyone know if the stock checker is accurate/updated immediately when things are sold? There are a few garlands showing as in stock in my nearest store but don't want to make the trip tomorrow if they're likely to be sold out!
  • Hmm think I may pay a visit to my local store tomorrow, might find some bits for my own place that hopefully I will be in this time next year!

I reserved 2 boxes of crackers showing online as in stock, but got a call before I left to collect to say they were sold out, so I wouldn't trust the online stock check/reserve system.

Further to my earlier post this is the reindeer I got, can't believe it should have been £89.99!

  • Went to local Exeter branch. They hardly had anything left. Got a few stocking filler toys for 50p each though, good for party bags next year.

  • 2 in stock in my local - will be there at 8am!.... bet I don't find it though!
  • I went into Homebase Hatfield this morning ...... spent £50!
    • 1x 6foot white tree and a whole load of baubles to go on it....thought i'd have a new scheme next year!
    • 1 x 8foot green tree, quite a narrow one which was what i was looking for
    • lots of stocking fillers, teddies and crackers
Well worth a visit and worth asking about prices as both trees were marked up full price £89 and £119 (sale £15 each):j
All i need to do now is get them in the loft before my other half comes home!!!

  • We went to our local homebase this morning and there was a fair bit left.

    We bought a

4ft white tree in a bag with baubles
7ft snow tipped tree with lights and decorations RRP £199.99:eek:
4 bauble wreaths which had some colour scratched off a couple of baubles but you can't notice as on the back of the wreath, marked down to £1 each.
An LED reindeer box damaged so marked down to £5 RRP £55
A mini real tree for my Nan which wasn't in the sale for £2.99.

The total came to £26.99 bargain and the 7ft tree is gorgeous, we took down our fibre optic one and replaced with this one.

They also had 5ft forest spruce trees for £1 each, might go back and get one for my work.
  • Gutted. Looked at the trees a couple of weeks ago but couldn't justify over £100 for a tree. Just been to my local store and there is absolutely nothing left. Nevermind. There is always next year.
