Best/cheapest way to hid an RSJ?

What gets me about the fireboard to protect the RSJ is would you really sit around in a fire until the RSJ started to bend until you decided the building was unsafe to be in anymore?
Perhaps the idea is to give enough time for the fire to be controlled/put out before the heat causes the steel to bend and the building to suffer serious structural damage? If the RSJ is damaged by heat, I imagine the walls above will be compromised and the whole building may have to be demolished.Solar install June 2022, Bath
