GGGrrrrr Ebay are driving me daft. I tried to list a make up item by chanel and it wont let me as it says Im not veriified- when I am , have been for years, linked to my ebay account thats how I pay their heavy dirk turpin fees.
Its really annoying me I have been trying since Friday to get an answer from ebay but they keep sending me their stupid automated replies, which dont apply in anyway to me -
Anyone else managed to get this problem sorted ?

Here are some of the restrictions in place:
1) You must verify your PayPal account and link it to your eBay account.
2) You must be registered for a period of time to sell certain items.
3) 1 & 3 day listings will no longer be available for certain types of
items.
4) Cross-border trade for certain types of items will be restricted.
5) The high volume listing of certain types of items will be restricted.
Anyone else managed to get this problem sorted ?

Hey dude, I feel your pain!
Same thing happened to me, I'm trying to sell some jewellery (3 pieces altogether) only one has managed to be listed, I listed the other one last night out of desperation but I deliberately spelled the name of it wrong, what a surprise it worked! Now all I have to do is hope someone does fatfingers and bids:o which isn't really the point as I wanted to list it properly. Have been emailing @*%^%$£"$"£%@£$-bay for the past week asking WHY as a FULLY VERIFIED SELLER I cannot sell my items. I am not a power seller or anything, my feedback is about 100 as I only sell my own personal stuff.
I said in my emails if they cannot give me a proper explanation as to why I cannot sell 3 things besides the untrue "your account is not verified" carp then I will take my business elsewhere, harumph! They replied saying they were looking into it with their techincal dept............I'm still waiting!0 -
Have you tried live help?
You should be able to google a link to it and type directly to an ebay member of staff in real time0 -
I did the same and it listed it ,sad isnt it.one last night out of desperation but I deliberately spelled the name of it wrong,
I tried live help but it is down at this time. Instead I just keeped emailing ebay to phone me- and it worked ! So we are working on the problem this now-but I told them thier new system was pants. :rotfl:0 -

My biggest worry is that potential bidders might think its fake jewellery cos of the mis-spelling
like I've said before, if I was selling a dummy phone or a picture of a Nintendo Wii I bet ebay would not prevent me from listing.
So you've actually spoken to someone from eBay? I kinda assumed it was run by a big computer system called "The Big Giant eBay Head" with trained chimpanzees manning the computer systems to send you out the wrong automated response.0 -
its probably because the items you trying to sell are on Ebays Vero list, they now require extra checks on sellers for these items.0

I figured it was something like that but my bugbear is that they are saying "we have limited your selling account because your paypal acct is not verified" when it is. Then not sorting it out or giving me a proper explanation after a week.0 -
Had the same problems. Now certain brand items list but take about a day to come up in a search (namely Chanel & similar). Also I can only tend to list a couple at a time. Annoying as they are all authentic.0

And me had as well working a way round it!!!.0

Yip I thpought ebaywas a broom cupboard with a small man sending one of their 5 emails to you when you asked a question. However weirdily the problem is now fixed. It is to do with the ebay account not being linked to the payapl account. Some of these things you have probably done but it might be worth double checking so you can sell items with the proper spelling !
1 -Firstly go to your paypal account and under the profile section.Under the third column it says " auction " under this make sure you have your ebay name listed.
2- Under your ebay account click on addresses section. Then it says in purple below VIEW ALL POSTAL ADDRESS.This will bring up a list of addresses BELOW this is a yellow box which says about addresses. The first line says -
PayPal address - This eBay address book is linked to your PayPal account: emailaddress.com You can remove this link. .Check that the email address here is the same as your paypal address if not click on the link given and change it.
3- If all this does not work check all your settings on you paypal account and if possable try re-doing the verification process in the payapl section, if no luck phone them on 0870 7307191 .
Good luck , hopefully you will get it sorted as I can still see hong kong sellers selling replicas.0 -
