Business buildings, contents and public liability insurance

Before I go ahead and pay our 51% increased salon insurance policy has anyone got any 'bright ideas'?
We have a policy with Zurich (which we get via a broker) and it has risen 51% since last year.
It covers the building (which is a hairdressing salon and a flat above which we live in), shop contents, and public and employer liability insurance.
We had in the past a problem with the building where the front needed rebuilding due to a badly built old extension and as an engineers report (which states that the building is now structurally sound) mis-quoted my husband in that it mentions that there was subsidence, most new insurers will only insure excluding subsidence (although the total quote being much cheaper).
Complicating matters our new policy needs to start on 1st Jan so this needs finalising this week as many places are closing over Xmas.
Do I need to just bite the bullet and pay the new extortionate rate or do I have another option?
Thanks

I was staggered how good a deal I got from Hiscox - http://www.hiscox.co.uk/business-insurance/
Give them a call and a UK call centre will talk you through the options, or get a quote online. Very reputable insurer too.0
