i gave my end of year figure for last year and now they have dropped my tax credits for this year by roughly £60 per month. Too scared to call because i have a dispute outstanding. why do you think this is?

I would assume it's because they were paying you too much! Did you give them a guesstimate of your earnings for that year previously?Halifax Personal Loan £23,000 :think:0

Or perhaps a baby is now over a year old? Over 16yo stopped schooling??
I know that you don't want to call them, but no-one here is going to know the exact reason why they have dropped, we can all only guess.
Sorry - but you'll have to call them!!0 -
My tax credits dropped without an obvious reason once, I called and it turned out they had made a mistake with my daughters date of birth and stopped paying benefit for her. One phone call got it sorted out - do phone them!0
