Hi I've come across this item as I collect a lot of nintendo products and cannot believe this. People do pay for empty boxes for nes/snes/n64 stuff as the cardboard ones can get torn, but this guy is trying to sell a box for "Mario Kart R" on the snes with no game for £20!
As far as I know Mario Kart R was the name for Mario Kart 64 when it was in production, but there was no game ever released called Mario Kart R so not sure where this guy has this from? link below:

Says it's custom made? Sounds like a lot of effort if it is, but if he can get £19.99, maybe not?0

but who'd pay £20 for a made up game box with no game in it?!0

Have you heard of Blue Harvest?
This was the working title given to Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi. The idea was to not give away what the film was during production and they went to the trouble of having merchandise made such as caps, T-Shirts etc. That merchandise is worth a fortune today for a film that never existed
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_HarvestIt may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0 -
I have but only because of family guy - always wondered why they gave it that name! I suppose it's a possiblity that the boxes were manufactured by nintendo preproduction like the star wars example but it's the first I've seen of it and I've been collecting nintendo products for 8 years. it's a pickle alright!0

We have a poster for The Empire Strikes Back trailing the next film to be Revenge of the Jedi. Apparently it got changed as Revenge wasn't a proper Jedi sort of emotion!

Mario Kart R is hacked version of the game; you can download it from ROM sites etc (not posting a link or arguing the legality of doing so). I suppose you could then upload the file onto a SNES flash cartridge and put it inside that box.
Sounds like a heck of a lot of effort to go through to me, but some people are really into retro gaming I guess!
Edit:
Like this guy! He might want the box
