Terrible service from Sky

We've had nothing but problems since we moved in at the end of September.

TV - when reporting another incident, nice chap offered three months free movies because of the problems we've had. We are being charged for movies, they say there's no record of the call.

Phone - had to wait two months to set the line up because the original person messed up the order. We are also not getting the half price line rental that we were sold.

Broadband - waited three months for a connection, the first router went missing in the mail (not their fault for a change). It's disconnecting constantly and is very slow.


They refuse to refund us or improve their service. Is this enough to take higher and if so, who to? OFCOM?

  • I had lots of problems with them as well when I first set up my account.
    The TV was done on the date I was told it would be and the router arrived earlier than I thought it would so I thought it would all go well.
    Then my phone and broadband installation was cancelled because they had got my address wrong (despite managing to send someone here to install the TV and post me the router) Anyway I rang them up and got told nothing they could do I would have to wait 3 more weeks.
    So I wait 3 weeks and my phone line is activated but no broadband. Apparently the person I spoke to when I complained about my first cancelled appointment decided to cancel my broadband entirely so there was never a plan to turn it on :(
    I was told it would be another 3 weeks to have it installed, and then I had to wait another week after that because they changed the date for no known reason :(
    After 5/6 phone calls I got offered half price line rental for 6 months for the inconvenience.
    I am really not happy but what more can I do? I want sky and they do treat there customers badly :(
    I hope you get somewhere with a complaint because they need to realise this is not how to treat customers but I very much doubt you will :(

    Sky - biggest waste of money ever.

    I pay them nearly a grand a year.

    Not worth it - but addicted to Sky Sports.
