My reply stating that I'll continue to post because it might help someone who actually wants to be helped? In that case thank you, it was my intention.
  • Thank you for your help, and your enquiry.

Why a solicitor? There has been no breach of the law here, you'd be better wih an experienced welfare worker.

phone the DWP and ask to speak to their official complaints department if you are unhappy with the service you are recieving from them , dont be fobbed off with some manager, you need THE OFFICIAL COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT and no-one else will do, inform them you wish to initiate an official complaint due to the substandard treatment you believe you have recieved from them, after all the taxpayer is paying for this service so it must be to an acceptable standard, inform them that you are going to see your MP and try to get the issue raised in the house's of parliament(that's the MP's Job and you tax pays his wages also) , then phone your MP and make an appointment to go see him/her to air your grievances , but with the best will in the world if your partner/hubby is not medicaly defined as "housebound" by a professional (gp, psychiatrist etc. not a nurse or family friend) and you do not turn up to your own tribuneral you can not reasonably expect to be treated any differently than you have been :-(

She's been treated brilliantly, didn't go to the first one so was automatically offered a 2nd one to try maximise the chances of getting an award! They could have just turned round and said no award after the 1st tribunal but they didn't.

It might be worth speaking to OCD-UK about the OCD as well - they're a charity and may be able to help you. They've got a website and forum as well as taking phone calls and are generally helpful. It sounds like the OCD means he's controlling what you're able to do a lot, since you said he wouldn't let you go to the tribunal on your own or to the CAB? That can't be making this any easier for you.
