Evening all
I was hoping you'd be able to help, I bought two of these
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/7-storage-options-scroll-essential-tablet-2gb-android-23-hdmi-usb-20-wifi-webcam
for my daughters' Christmas presents and I'm in the process of setting it up for them and I'm having trouble connecting to my WiFi. I input the password and it gives me a message saying connecting ...... and then just disconnects. I've tried both, and they are both the same.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful.

are you using WEP or WPA on your wifi? The device may do either/or, but may not do both. Check this first.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

you mean wEp
yeah, if that's the only wifi encryption the tablet can do, then you'll have to change your router's encryption to WEP. Just remember to check any lappys or other wifi deveices for comapataility with WEP

Restart your router?!
Worth a try.0 -
I would try changing your router to WPA first, changing it to WEP should be a last option as it is not very secure at all.0

Absolutely, but there was a typo one way or another in the OP's update....did she mean WEP or WPA ??? Until both are tried, we don't know, and the product info on scan's site and a google search were less than helpful

Sorry there was a typo, my router is WPA.
I tried to change to WEP last night and I need an ethernet cable, which I can't find, I moved house and it's probably stored away somewhere.
I will try restarting the router now, before messing about with the settings.
Thanks all.Little Miss Sparkles :A
