Same here - not impressed. I placed an order 2nd Jan and another on 3rd Jan. The one on 3rd has finally been dispatched, they reckon it will be delivered tomorrow but somehow I doubt it!
Still nothing on the earlier order - except an out of stock email for one item (so far). I'm annoyed at the delay since I'm paying for postage on this. Some of the items are not even sale items and I really need them asap, so very annoyed at the delay. I tried to choose nomiated delivery and the system wanted to charge me £4.95 PLUS standard £3.50 delivery (I assume £4.95 for the normal items and £3.50 for the sale items), so I opted for normal £3.50 but never thought it would take this long - and of course they've left it so late now things have gone out of stock. Rubbish system they operate!0 -
I have also had one oos email - from my account they haven't even attempted to pick clothes yet so fully expecting the rest to be cancelled. Just wish they'd hurry up and do it. I also paid for delivery and will be ringing up for a refund of that charge once this is over. I tried to opt for next day delivery but wasn't given the option. Once agan, very poor show from marks and really puts me off ordering sale items online, certainly if I really want something. It's a tale told time and time again on these boards but you always think this time it will be different!0

This is the first time I've had a problem with them, so I guess I've been lucky so far! Their system usually seems pretty good at telling you if an item is in stock or not - certainly with clothing it tells you how many are left, so I don't see why that shouldn't work with sale items, too. What's most annoying is the thought that the items were showing as in stock when I ordered (but that was a week ago!!!) so I can only assume they have dispatched the orders out of sequence and other people who ordered after me have been given my item(s). I can feel a complaint coming on, too!0 -
Ive just had a second email informing me that 2 more items are 'out of stock'.
Surely if someone orders and pays for items while they are in stock then said items should be available?
Im cancelling the remainder of my order as it is due or delivery tomorrow and hasnt even despatched yet so chances are more 'out of stock' emails will arrive and ill end up paying delivery charges on a couple of little bits0 -
Not been to my M&S sale yet waiting for the final/final reductions does anyone know when they are?0

I agree with you completely.
I placed an order on 30/12 and hadn't had any further e-mails from them but most of the items have been showing as Out Of Stock for several days. The others were a few gift tags and a book which have all been reduced again since then so I cancelled the order on 6/1 because I didn't want to pay delivery on a few cheap items like that and didn't know which price I would be charged.
I ordered items from BHS on 4/1, with the added bonus of free delivery, expecting some to be OOS before delivery but my complete order arrived yesterday. M&S could learn a lot from them.0 -

The annoying thing is that i was in M&S yesterday and one of my (now oos) items was available instore but i didnt buy because it was on order  . I have sent an email to customer services feedback - not that it will make any difference, but it makes me feel better0 -
In my experience, when an item is out of stock, but there are other items to be delivered, M&S have only charged the % of available items delivery charge i.e. if 2/3 items not available - only charged 1/3 p&p ....
Just in my experience, but might help!0
