M&S Sale *update* further reductions now

Quite a lot left in London Colney today but prices aren't great. The stuff they've got left really needs a bigger discount on it if they want to shift it. Must be nearly time for manager's reductions.0

I ordered on the 2nd, didn't have an option offered for next day delivery so have a delivery date of 9th. This means that I now have to play the M & S waiting game.
I do wish they would hurry up and send me the items cancelled e-mails that I have been expecting since the moment I ordered.
It is very frustrating not knowing how much money I can still afford to splurge as technically I had spent it in my head before joining the no spending for a year forum. Come on Marks, hurry up and cancel!0 -
I placed a sale order last week. Just received two dispatch emails today and another saying half of my order was being cancelled. Im really annoyed as its all the things I wanted, the rest was to just to justify the delivery costs. Called and spoke to someone who was less than helpful. She just said she didn't know why it they had all been cancelled. It was two necklaces, lots of gift tags, cards, mens smelly sets, etc. She then said if i was unhappy i could still cancel the rest of my order. I pointed out that I had had dispatch emails but she insisted she could cancel......before telling me that the system wouldnt let her cancel. Very annoyed. Spent a lot of money with m&s recently. Im due my 3 rd baby any day so 90% of my christmas shopping has been done through them to save me leaving house. Is it worth emailing complaint??

I ordered on Christmas eve and finally got my order today - only one item out of stock so don't give up hope yet. Still waiting to receive bargain weekend bag - fingers crossed!0

Made me laugh and with M&S standard of service that takes a lot. Said before I don't know why people buy sale items on line. Surely they must monitor what is said about them online and most reputable companies would try and improve service. The only good thing is that you don't need to deal with staff. The staff in my local store have mostly been there forever and they don't waste any time letting you know that they don't approve of sale shoppers and can't wait for it to be over.0 -

Absolutely! I only had one item cancelled, out of 9 items, and I sent an email via M & S website, saying how disappointed I was that I wasn't told until a week after I placed the order. I pointed out that because I didn't know the item was out of stock, I had missed the chance to go to their stores and buy the item there.
They subsequently telephoned and I said, that for the sake of goodwill, I felt they should cancel the delivery charge, and they agreed!
If you don't ask, you don't get! :beer:

i work for m&s and we are starting managers reductions end of next week! we have to price next wednesday0

Will all the stores have the same start date for the managers reductions? I was in M&S today and they still had alot of sale stock but very poor further reductions!0
