Van Leasing

I'm not too sure this is the right venue but here goes ...
The problem is that I took a van leasing hire out for my son, who's a self employed builder who couldn't get a lease himself, 3 and a half years ago.
I've kept up the payment so far but unfortunately he doesn't have any work on until February, due to weather etc, but has work for February.
I phoned Network, the leasing company and explained I couldn't meet the payment for 3 months, but asked if I could payment reduce payments for the next 3 months making payment up next year, or extending the contract.
They weren't interested in helping. They said if payments weren't made they would re-possess the van. Can they do this after we've been paying 3 and half years of a four year contract?
Thanks for any info you can give ...

If their terms allow them to do so then it's likely they can do this. Although its shabby service if you've been leasing with them for so long. You need to read the contract to get your answer? This is a B2B contract remember so consumer protection rules are unlikely to apply0
