Hi,
I live in a mid terraced house. Both houses on either side have central heating and gas, however my house for some reason is only electricity. All heating is through storage heaters and hot water via a immersion boiler which is set to heat up water at certain times.
I'm sick of it now and would like to install central heating. What are the steps and who are the best companies?
I need one boiler and 4 radiators - how much would that cost including instalment.
I can only afford to pay for this by monthly instalments so any companies that offer good deals would be appreciated. I dont mind paying a bit extra for the instalment option.
A step by step guide would be helpful.
Thanks

Presuming you don't have a gas meter.
The first step would be to get an estimate to get gas into your property from one of the gas utility companies, this price of this could vary depending on if there is a previously used but capped pipe at the property or if they have to lay a main to your property.
Obviously you have gas in the street.
Has your property ever had gas ?
Is there a gas meter in or on the property ?
If not are there signs of a previous one ie. capped pipe, external gas pipe around the same location as the gas pipe on your neighbors houses.
Next get both your water pressure and flow checked.
Dependent on what these values are will determine the type of boiler you can use.
I would suggest just concentrating first in finding the cost of the gas supply then going from there.0
