I recently turned the power off at the mains and now my boyfreinds technics deck wont spin and the tv wont turn on. Will I be able to claim on my contents insurance?

if you have accidental cover and get it confirmed that the items were affected by what you did then yes0

It may be an uphill struggle though as there will be both the argument that they simply broke down and secondly if what you did was "accidental damage" or if it was a "power surge" which would be a separate peril that may or may not be covered.0

Could it be fuses?0
