NEW Halifax Mobile Banking Site/App

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but I logged into Halifax online banking on my iphone last night and was pleasantly surprised to find they have implemented a new mobile/smartphone optimised website. As with the online site it is pretty much exactly the same as the Lloyds mobile site so if you've used that you know what to expect :cool: In fact - it's so identical that if you add a link to your home screen on an iphone it appears with the Lloyds logo - clearly a final little bug they haven't ironed out yet!

If you have an Apple device they've also put out an app as well, but for online banking it is just a clunky version of the website so you're best sticking with the mobile website on safari. It does have a few other features such as nearest branch/ATM finder etc that some may find useful though.

Couldn't find anything on the Halifax site announcing it so thought I'd give a heads up!

Yes I noticed it the other day when I logged in on my phone, it took me straight to the mobile site. I logged in, but I didn't like it, so logged out and went in again through the normal banking page. Won't be using the mobile version again

There is also a new bank of Scotland iPhone app too

The mobile banking site did seem to have a couple of problems when it was first released - kept logging me out.

It has been fine for me since then though. Really simple to use, but does seem to let you do everything that the normal site does.
