Sallpd.exe. wants access to the net?

Commodo Firewall keeps keeps asking me if Sallpd.exe. can connect to the internet? i am not sure what program this is, is it ok to allow or should i block access? , many thanks

Just say no to be o safe side and if its a normal program in due course it would probably notify you that it cant access net.

It's from Myspace, wanting to update or something. Just say no.

The fact that Google's only hit is this thread is a red flag.

Do a full virus check.

If there are no other references to the file online, you can be pretty confident you have a nasty randomly-named virus. Some will have a different random name on each machine especially to stop you from searching for the name to find out more!

Time to scan the file deeply, but then scan your whole computer too - try http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/ as a starting point. It is Java-based, and so should be able to steer around any nasties that may have crippled/damaged your installed antivirus software.
