I need to change or we are going to sink

Right, things have to change or we are going to sink drastically. Things during 2011 were tough at times with me not working full time etc but things have changed now and I have decided that 2012 will be our year and we are going to get things sorted.
Between now and Jan 1st 2012 I am going to make a list of all the money we owe, bills etc. I am then going to put a plan together of how we can get them all paid off quickly. I am going to make a time slot every week to check where we are with the bills, complete letters etc. I am going to call this my moneysavingexpert time.
I am going to be an avid member of the forum, and going to set myself a few challenges from the list. Then by the end of the year we will start 2013 with a relaxed peace of mind.

Wish me Luck!! Here goes......
APR NSD - 0/10
Paid off in 2013 so far £125.00
April Money made - £18.00

  • Welcome to the MSE forums, and congratulations on facing your debt head on, it's not always easy :)

There are loads of great people with good (if direct) advice on here. I'd recommend filling out a statement of affairs http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html when you get a chance and posting it on the forums, you'll get loads of good ideas about how to reduce your outgoings and prioritise your debt repayments. Good luck! :)

  • Post up a statement of affairs - there may be room for improvement that you can't see that others can.

    Good luck, and welcome.
