...also, McVitie's Victoria and Fox's tins of biscuits at £2.40 each (although labelled at £3.60).

    :)
  • Does anybody know if the tins of cadbury roses and anniversary tins of quality street have been further reduced anywhere, that's all that's left in my store and they are still marked at £4 and £6 respectively. Has anyone scanned one to see if they are secretly cheaper?

i did try to avoid buying yet more choclate for the children, but I did get the mcvities blue tin for £2.40 as they have BB date of June, so will be fine for ages yet.

I also got chocolate trains and kinnerton cars 2 choclate sets 10p a pack for my nephews for easter (to go wih a nice book, they get tonse of eggs)

I also bought a mixture of the kinnerton cars sets and princess choclate sets at 10p a pack for my sons party bags later in the year the BB date was April 2013!

And a couple of hello kitty selection packs to add to birthday presents to bulk them out a bit 10p again.

I could have bought loads of biscuits and chocolates but tried to restrict it to what we would actually be able to use.

I went into Prestwick shop this morning around 8.30, and they had loads of Xmas mixing bowls, 2 ramekins , several sizes of serving/baking dishes, cookie jars, breakfast bowls for 10p. I got a mixing bowl and 4 ramekins, red with white stars on. I went back around 10am to get another bowl for my mum, and the whole aisle was cleared of 10p items. An assistant said a family had come in, and just filled up a trolley with all the 10p china. They also had candles, sponge bags, various gift items, soft santa toys, dancing trees, all for under £1
I also got a couple of Lindt santas, Jacobs crackers for 74p, and pecan nuts for 10p.
They had loads of mincemeat, honeycomb choc oranges, tins of Foxes,Victoria bics for £2.40, shortbread tins for £2
  • No 10p stuff left in Exeter (pinhoe) branch this avo. Did get a couple of 30p tubs of muni cheddars though.

I went into Birmingham city centre and found a big tub of mincemeat. 10p!!! Popped it in my basket and strolled around looking for more bargains. The basket was really heavy - I anticipated the walk back to the office. Then I remembered I don't particularly like mince pies. Then I recalled I can't cook.

    I put the tub back......

Got some of the big Lindt santas for 10p each today. They had the small ones for 10p each too - but I left those...:D
Also picked up some Pot Pourri for 45p instead of £4.50, a box of 12 candy canes for 10p, and some lovely star shaped silver/glass tealight holders for 15p each instead of £1.50. I'll add some cheap tealights and that'll be the teacher's Christmas pressies sorted out for this year. :j
