Where is the room temperature set if we don't have a thermostat?Thermostatic Radiator valves set (which is what you have) turn off the rad when the room temperature is reached, they don't set the rad to be warm, it can only be on because the room is too cold and off because it is warm enough.0 -

Just to check, you know that legionella will not be on your clothes? but washing at 60 will kill bed bugs. Bed bugs don't drown at 40 but will be clean.0 -
Assuming your washing M/C is plumbed to both hot and cold.
It will only draw-in cold water on all programmes except the Hot wash ie. 60c.
On the Hot wash (normally No1) it draws in hot and the internal washing m/c heater raises the temp itself.0
