How about doing a statement of Affairs to cover both your incomes, looking at what would happen if either of you lost your job?

As part of that, both get your credit records and that will show up most problems (although not unpaid Council Tax).

The weird thing is... he went online to request a credit report and it wouldn't come up, told him he had to write to them and confirm a load of details??? I've never known that to happen?? my credit files have always come straight up.

I have been up front and honest 100% and just wish he would do the same!

We are going to discuss it tonight (he has protested but i've insisted)... wish me luck!

Given the number of times that people post on here spitting feathers because this has happened to them, it is not unusual. Maybe he moved a lot before you met, maybe there is someone else with a similiar name and DOB.

Encourage him to confirm all those details.
